SENIOR COUNSEL- FORTUNE 100 COPMPANY
High-tech company's consumer products group (CCP) is looking for a skilled attorney to help support the consumer group sales, operations and logistics team in the US, Canada and Latin America. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the highly dynamic and diverse world of consumer products and services. Together with a consumer group senior corporate counsel, you will work closely with the entire consumer products Americas sales, operations and logistics team, supporting all sales, logistics and operational related activities throughout North and South America.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide advice and guidance to all levels of the Sales team on a wide range of legal issues and facilitate the successful completion of key business agreements in the consumer space with retailers, distributors, service providers, suppliers and other business partners.
Analyze complex legal and business situations and develop recommendations that meet the business and legal needs of the company.
Draft, negotiate and process contracts of major impact to the company. Agreement types include: direct sale, distribution/resale, marketing program, outbound software license, RFP/RFI, non-disclosure, evaluation, ODM/logistics and service/support.
Structure and draft non-standard contracts.
Act as lead on contract negotiations, collaborating and coordinating with key
Help set strategic policies and ensuring consistency with business objectives and practices.
Develop agreement and program templates.
Provide training on key legal issues to the Sales, Operations and Logistics teams.
Required Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions at all levels.
Strong knowledge of North American contract law, consumer law, antitrust, intellectual property, revenue recognition and software licensing.
Ability to negotiate and draft non-standard contracts that address complex and difficult issues.
Business and commercial acumen to deal with complex legal and business issues.
Educational Background:
Requires a law degree and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
Minimum 8+ years law firm or industry relevant experience required.ILSCS2.7.10
