Interactive Legal Search was founded, and incorporated in 1996 as Interactive Legal Source Inc, by Gay Carter, a recruiter experienced in the technology recruiting field since 1982, and in the legal recruiting arena since 1990.  Her goal was to develop a legal recruiting firm that provided quality recruiting services to Fortune 100 Companies and top level law firms that seek the best legal talent in the field.  Ms. Carter began her recruiting career with a major San Francisco Recruiting and Staffing company as a recruiter and advanced to working directly with the CEO in hiring and training recruiters in a number of disciplines.

During her tenure with this company, she assisted in its growth from one office in the Financial District to a second in the Embarcadero and two in the East Bay.  After leaving that organization, she founded a technical recruiting firm working with major companies that were on the ground floor of research and development for technical state of the art products that are now used as a part of our everyday life.  In addition to providing quality service to clients, Ms. Carter's goal was to establish a recruiting firm that shows an equal concern regarding the preferences of candidates who are open to advancing their career.  Her greatest satisfaction is building lasting relationships with both clients and candidates.
