Responsibilities include counseling the business units, supporting the sales staff and interfacing with customers as well as structuring and drafting non-standard contracts, and contracts of major impact on the corporation and its business. This position will act as primary negotiator for contractual negotiations, analyze complex legal and business situations, develop recommendations which meet the business and legal needs of the company as well as establishing legal policy for contracts and contract negotiation.
We are looking for a candidate who has 8+ years law firm or industry relevant experience, multi-national/ international legal knowledge and expertise; knowledge of contractual law, anti-trust and Intellectual Property. The ideal candidate will speak native Japanese, have knowledge of Japanese law, and a combination of having worked in Japan and the US.

2. CORPORATE COUNSEL IN-HOUSE MEXICO CITY

Reporting to the Director of Legal for Emerging Markets, who is based in London, the successful candidate will be based in Mexico City, Mexico, with a focus on the Mexican market as well as assisting across Central America and the Northern South American Countries.
This role will involve negotiating, drafting, and analyzing (in both Spanish and English) a wide variety of sales and strategic alliance agreements with the company's most important customers in the region as well as working collaboratively with other members of the Emerging Markets Legal team covering Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, North Africa and Middle East and Russia/CIS.
